What is the Family Readiness Group?
The Family Readiness Group plans, coordinates and conducts social, informational, care-taking and morale-building activities to enhance family readiness and enable the “Total Navy Family” to meet mission and military family lifestyle challenges. The FRG is an all-hands group that promotes friendship and mutual support among the members.
When do We Meet?
We meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Jackson Park Community Center. We also meet for planned social events.
What are some of the FRG functions and activities?
• Coordinating deployment farewells and homecomings.
• Assisting with command sponsor programs such as welcoming new families and facilitating family member attendance at orientation sessions.
• Social events, like holiday parties, children’s parties and activities.
